PHILMONT

Ok, I know what you might be thinking... Why is rachel writing about the BOY scout capital? Did she seriously go to to a boys camp? Well, in a way yes. But it was because my dad was having leadership training, and they told him to bring his whole family. Six hundred people were there.... ya. a lot of people right? well, anyway, I was able to do a whole bunch of activities with a group of girls the ages 11-13. My favorite thing that I did was go horse riding. IT WAS SOOOOOO FUN!! I was kind of freaked out at first, because i've never ridden a horse before, but once I began, I never wanted to stop. :) THe weather was always beautiful, and I probably stayed outdoors longer than I ever have! haha. I also made a whole bunch of friends. It was a great experience to be with them. I cried the last day of camp, because I didn't wasn't to leave them...It was really sad, but I got through it. And Ashley (one of my friends) got everyones email so we can email each other now.

FAMILY VISIT

For the first time in five years, I was able to see Aunt Sarah, Jessica, Justin, and Jenna (cousins). They were all SOOOO sweet. I loved every single one.:) They came over to Texas, and the rest of family in Texas had a party with them at Aunt Tamra's house. We had hoola hoop contests, dancing time for the little kids, and some talent. Most of the time I was outside on the trampoline with Paul, Donny, Justin, Lauren, Jessica, and Natalie. Later, I heard Jessica sing.... I knew she was good, but WOW! She could SOOO be on Broadway!!! Her voice is beautiful!!! Justin learned part of a song from Donny on the guitar, and he picked up quick... I can't even learn how to HOLD a guitar!!! Later that week, they came over to OUR house (YES!!!!). Jenna, Kiya, Aidan and I played 'Apples to Apples' a lot... It was a lot of fun. Justin and I played wii, and just hung out. Jessica took pics of Lauren, and they're very professional. I was impressed.... She needs to take some pics of me soon.. I NEED IT!!! ha, ha:) Anyway, overall I had an awesome time with them coming over. It was really fun, and I hope they come again soon. LOVE YA SCHOLL FAMILY!! :)

GIRLS CAMP

SO, I went to girls camp.... IT WAS AWESOME! I loved it so much. We went canoeing, kayaking, water sliding, swimming... and so much more! as you know, it ws princess themed. I turned out not to be dressing up. My crown broke, so I just had a wand that broke in the middle of the week, but its ok. I didnt use it much anyway. Myfavorite part of girls camp was the testimony meeting. Everyone was crying and hugging eachother after it was over. I have never felt so much love in a room in my life, like I did in there. It was soo sweet. I bore my testiomy, but I was crying all the way through it... ANYWAY, my second fav. part of girls camp was the water slides. Itws so much better than swimming!!! People would do tricks before they slid. Sometimes they would just jump, or soumersault down. After I saw oeone soumersault down, I had a great idea. A flip. It was pure genius. I flipped as if I were on trampoline,then bounced down the slide.... IT WAS AMAZING. More people started doing it after me, but not much. It was fun no matter what you did, but the flip slide was definitely he funnest. Another thing I will definitely be doing again next year is canoeing and kayaking!!! Me and a group of friends would bump eachother while in our canoes... aNd my first time on the canoe, Iwas tipped over by all my friends.... NO A GOOD EXPERIENCE! I was swimming in nsty muddy, murky water, and kept on stepping on a whole bunch of weeds. I was tipped RIGHT AFTER they warned me of water moccisons (however you spell it) and alligators... So ya. I screamed the whole time I was in the water. CLose to the end of camp, we had a race of a bunch of games in a row. Whoever finished all the games first won. We, (first years) got SECOND PLACE!! WE were fifteen seconds behind the fourth years... I was so proud. :D
I also learned a bunch of camp songs like: Princess Pat, Little Black things, bannana song, milk song, Noah song, shark song... and more. Those were just my favorites. :) ANyway, overall I just had an awesome time at girls camp, and Im looking forward to next year!

GIRLS CAMP!---HAPPY!--- confused?---

ITS SUMMER??? DO I REALLY HAVE TO TO EXPLAIN IT ANY FURTHER??? This will actually be my first summer to be going to girls camp!! :) Im so excited for this!! It is princess themed, BUT I cant decide what kind of princess I want to be. Its either a pirate princess (vidors mascot is a pirate), or a young women value princess, where my crown would be the colors that resembled each value. Its a tough one, but I only have this week to find out what I will be, because next week is camp!! 'sigh' oh well... I can figure something out... Well thats about it!! SEEYA!

LOST PHONE :(

I lost my phone.... not a great action in my case, but at least I can get a new one in August. Right now, I'm using this dinky go phone, and TRUST me... Its not a phone a willingly took. The buttons are tiny, and really hard to use when you are texting someone. Plus, the phone ITSELF is tiny, so when someone calls me, its very awkward, because my mouth can't reach the part I'm supposed to talk into at ALL.... its terrible. Well, I'm just glad I have a phone until August. It's not too long till then, so I can survive. If I had to have a fav. part about my, phone, it would have to be that I have guitar hero as a game. pretty cool. well, gotta go!!

TAMRA: Whats this? (pulls out my eye liner, apparently knowing that its a form of makeup)
ME: Thats makeup I put on my eyes... You can't put it on until your older.
TAMRA:Oh... If Im this can I wear it? (puts up all five fingers that resembles her age next year)
ME: No... you have to wait until your TWELVE
TAMRA: (Looks upset) I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL IM OLD? No thank you! (throws down eyeliner)

HOW MUCH I LOVE MY JOHNSON COUSINS! :)

The party with Aunt Laurie, Krista, Leanna, and Wade was GREAT!! I had such a great time!!! I was able to watch videos of Wade performing in Utah... HES SOOOO TALENTED I knew he was good... but WOW!!! WADE IS JUST AWESOME LIKE THAT I GUESS! I missed hearing my Aunt's voice... I was able to hear it again after what seemed to be forever!It was amazing... I forget how amazing SHE is too. I would describe her as beautiful inside out. :)
Leanna is also just gorgeous as always! She told me some camp songs, and she made me a bracelet that I wear pretty much EVERY day! She is so creative, sweet, and beautiful... I LOVE HER!
Krista ,another beautiful girl, has that breath taking voice too---- And I only heard her sing to herself while she was here, but yet I could still tell she had a voice of an angel. Lauren and Krista were always looked at as the 'best cousins/friends,' which I don't mind, but I LOVE HER GUTS just as much! :) being younger than her has got nothin on me! Well thats it for that... I LOVE YOU JOHNSONS!!!!!

WELCOME JOHNSON FAMILY!!!!

I havent updated my blog in like--- forever. I tried to update it so many times, but when I do, something goes wrong. it either deletes itself, or a little kid in this house deletes it. so now i would like to say: WELCOME JOHNSON FAMILY!!!! They are in Houston, and are on their way here... i can hardly wait.we put up posters that say stuff like: "welcome to the REAL Zion", or "There's no snowstorms here!" :) i have missed them soooooo much!i hope they decide to move back here soon!!! well, thats about it. i will tell you how the visit/party was later! -rachel
